Behold! The birth of religion.
« on: November 19, 2014, 10:10:47 AM »
I admit, I used to be skeptical of the Proglodyte explanation for the birth of religion: humans, terrified of completely natural phenomena, look for supernatural explanations.

I used to discount that explanation.

Now I wholly believe it because I see the Proglodytes themselves engaging in it.

This Terrifying Simulation Shows A Year In The Life Of Earth's CO2

NASA scientists have produced an ultra-high resolution computer model showing the ebbs and flows of carbon dioxide over the course of an entire year. It's both stunning and undeniably frightening.

This is the first hi-res simulation to show in such fine detail how carbon dioxide actually moves through the atmosphere. Watching it, you can see seasonal differences as plumes of CO2 swirl and shift. The northern and southern hemispheres feature swings in concentrations as the growth cycle of plants and trees changes.

It's 'way too small to read the scale, but the difference between mild blue and scary red seems to be a quite narrow slice on that spectrum color bar.  All the greatest intensity seems to be rolling out of Russia and China, and magnifying our own levels.

Remind me again, how much is China going to be cutting down their emissions thanks to the latest diplomatic triumph of Obama?

This is the normal trick and have seen it before, they take a pastel blue and change it to fiery red to illustrate what amounts to a degree or so of temp change.
Even that is suspect given the discovery of actual temp readings in Australia being "homogenized" which mysteriously altered them all higher.

14. Not a criticism, just a note for better understanding

The map projection used (possibly Mercator, in any case cylindrical) distorts the poles very badly by overemphasizing their proportionality. In particular the red areas are exaggerated in the early months of the year. So the picture is more terrifying than the reality. Nevertheless, fascinating.

Pretty reasonable response actually.
Now wait for it.

Exactly.  I could do video of some primitive Thanksgiving, show all the expelled Methane in red and it would look the gas chamber at MCRD.

The Gore effect is at the runaway stage now.  It's so potent, he just has to be in the same hemisphere.

From what I could tell from it, the greatest concentrations of CO2 occur in the Northern Hemisphere IN THE WINTER, which is the COLDEST part of the year.

In essence, this video PROVES CO2 has nothing to do with Gorebull Warming.   And from what I could tell from the scale, the difference is less than 30ppm, or about .003%

Really seems like they're misusing their funds to do NOAA's work because it's a politically popular topic.
