Dissent is patriotic!!! :panic:

to a point.  If you are dissenting against the GOP majority after the 11/4/14 landslide, it is patriotic.  If you are dissenting against obama it is racist. [/DUmmylogic]

It use to be 41 for Freedom   that was a long time ago.

Interesting that 9 of this 41 will be up for reelection in 2016.   X marks the spot on the nine vulnerable of the ten Dims up for election:

 Michael Bennet (Colorado)
 Richard Blumenthal (Connecticut)x
 Barbara Boxer (California)x
 Patrick Leahy (Vermont)x
 Barbara Mikulski (Maryland)x
 Patty Murray (Washington)x
 Harry Reid (Nevada)x
 Brian Schatz (Hawaii)x
 Charles Schumer (New York)x
 Ron Wyden (Oregon)x

The campaign will write itself.  Voted against the Keystone Pipeline.

Have not examined all the Senate races for 2016.  Just on first glance, can't imagine that Schumer is vulnerable.  Unless he decides to retire, seems like he's got that seat for life.

Yep, exactly why they did it.  First smart thing the party of stupid has done in quite awhile.  She was toast anyway, but fun to watch them actually do that.   :bird:

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.

Most of those are places that have enough stupid, emo DemonRats to re-elect them without a problem - Chuck the Schmuck, the Left Coast, the Mid-Atlantic-to-NE, and HI...all places who don't stand to benefit from the pipeline.  Might make a difference in CO, but they have 'waaaay too many imported Califreaks.

A cold winter and rolling blackouts can do wonders for voter attitudes in New England.  Now there are pipelines and there are pipelines.  Here in the NE we have seen problems with natural gas pipeline capacity (please remember people get confused about gas[oline], propane, and natural gas) which has increasingly been used for power generation as the nuclear plants here go off line.  Increase in natural gas prices drive up electric rates and an insufficient supply of gas results in more 'dirty coal' being used to fill the void.  Liberals are pretty much trapped in a 'run down' play at this point.  Importing hydroelectric from Canada is another option but it too is being held up by environmental concerns (power poles are just so ugly).
