gollygee (15,909 posts) Tue Nov 18, 2014, 01:45 PMYou might want to re-think that comment you are about to post about FergusonI'm posting a tiny bit - follow the link for more. http://beccyjoy.wordpress.com/2014/08/20/you-might-want-to-rethink-that-comment-you-are-about-to-post-about-ferguson-mo/ By saying, “you do not have all of the facts†we are essentially saying “I don’t believe that you are smart enough to know what is happening right in front of your face.†By saying, “this isn’t a race issue†we are saying “I know more than black people about what it feels like to be black.†By saying, “I’m sad about this too but…†we are saying that there is really an ending to this sentence that rectifies a mother losing a child. By saying, “let’s see what the autopsy says†we are saying, “I need a white doctor to tell me what really happened because I’m not going to believe the eye witness accounts of a bunch of black kids.â€
hfojvt (35,225 posts) 5. so waiting for facts is bad?Actually I was figuring the doctor would be Indian. Because clearly we cannot trust a white doctor to do an honest autopsy.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10025834386Just more liberals telling people that if they don't toe the liberal line of thought, then they are wrong."Honest Injun"? Okay, I only brought the thread over to make that comment. I admit it.

I certainly believe liberals aren't smart enough to know what is happening right in front of their faces.
This Dummy is still pretending that a half dozen black eyewitnesses didn't corroborate Officer Wilson's story.
Tony“By saying, “you do not have all of the facts†we are essentially saying “I don’t believe that you are smart enough to know what is happening right in front of your face.†â€As a queer person of color who has been closely following the events in Ferguson, THANK YOU for saying this. I’ve long since grown tired of people dismissing the facts that are already in evidence in an effort, in anticipation of evidence that will justify their belief that the execution of Michael Brown was a reasonable action course of action.
JimYeah, that’s it. It has absolutely nothing to do with reasonable people saying “I’ve seen the evidence that has been presented, but I’m sure I haven’t seen all of it, so I’m going to reserve judgment until we know all there is to know.†That’s what “you do not have all the facts†means when they say it.Next time you have a thought, Tony…. let it go.
