Obama Crafted Obamacare Deception With Gruber At White House Meeting

President Obama personally crafted a major Obamacare deception with Jonathan Gruber at one of Gruber’s numerous White House meetings, according to a 2012 Gruber interview with PBS.
 
MIT professor Gruber, who served as a top Obama administration consultant during the writing of Obamacare, garnered national condemnation this week after The Daily Caller published a video in which he credited a lack of transparency for Obamacare’s passage. Gruber said the law survived an existential threat posed by “the stupidity of the American voter.”
 
Gruber had a powerful partner in his effort to spin or conceal politically vulnerable aspects of Obamacare from the public: the president of the United States.
 
The Gateway Pundit highlighted a clip from Gruber’s 2012 interview with the PBS program Frontline in which the professor admitted that he worked together with the president in the Oval Office to conceal the political impact of their plan to get more tax revenue out of employer-sponsored health insurance plans by imposing a new “Cadillac tax” on companies. The Gateway Pundit also confirmed that Gruber checked into the West Wing for a meeting with the president on July 20, 2009, according to White House visitor logs.

“I just heard about this,” Obama told Fox News’ Ed Henry during a press conference at the G20 Summit in Australia. “I get well briefed before I come out here.”
 
“The fact that some adviser who never worked on our staff expressed an opinion that I completely disagree with in terms of the voters is no  reflection on the actual process that was run,” Obama said.

During a Brookings Institution panel in April 2006, then-Sen. Barack Obama claimed he had “stolen” ideas from a gang of liberal economists and academics, including the now-infamous Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber.

“You have already drawn some of the brightest minds from academia and policy circles, many of them I have stolen ideas from liberally,” Obama said. “People ranging from Robert Gordon to Austan Goolsbee; Jon Gruber; my dear friend, Jim Wallis here, who can inform what are sometimes dry policy debates with a prophetic voice.”

Despite Obama’s attempt to distance himself and his unpopular signature health care legislation from Gruber, it is clear that 2006 Obama never anticipated videos of his once-trusted adviser calling American voters ‘stupid’ would surface in 2014.

This does ruin ANY  argument in the future when we have a Republican president and he breaks rules (for the democrats). They can't say they are so innocent, so pure. We just have to bring up whatever law Obama broke in any instance. I'm sure there will be an example for ANY occasion.

Don't underestimate the Progressive's ability to forget their own sins while casting stones at others.

Especially when they have the media running point for them.

They look at what they do as the ends justifying the means.  And they are the ONLY ones allowed to play by that particular set of rules.

I would not be surprised to see the democrats try to limit the presidents E.O. powers between now and January 2016....just as soon as Obama finally puts down his pen.
