You are making the factually-baseless assumption that bodies of combatants being torn apart matters to Obama directly. It does not, all that matters to him is its effect on his political base, which despite the faux outrage on DU is not a whole lot larger, all that postured outrage (Even much of the deranged Ditch Witch's) is simply a weapon they see as convenient to guilt and bait their opposition.
The reason the purely-domestically-focused Leftist political operative brains in and around the White House are the enemy's chief strategic weapon have to do with the identity politics on which the power of the Leftist Beltway elites is based, not the death or maiming of volunteer servicemembers. The have a completely Kissinger-like view not only of military leadership, but of the entire military structure down to the private level. The military only enters their zone of attention when it impinges on an aspect of identity politics such as the sexual assault hugger-mugger. Otherwise, to them it is just a tool to be used, if a tool that costs a very great deal to use, often requires Congressional blessing, and tends to generate bad press from a cynical, largely anti-military MSM that is dying to have another Viet Nam in which to make their careers in the same way their fathers did, by piling on the US.
