I not only tire of their racial politics, but the gender ones as well that every woman I know seems to adopt. This idea that women must support other women. I'm sorry, but just because you share my gender does not make you the type of person I want to throw my support behind. I support people based on their character, not their gender. And what a slap in the face to the sons of women that do otherwise. Do their daughters deserve more support then their sons? Bet they never think about it from that perspective...

Had a facebook friend just temper tantrum because other women dared to say they prefer to work with men because women are too much drama..guess she never considered that other women should start growing up in the workplace and stop bringing dramatics; instead she blames the rational women for daring to call other women out for behaving like high schoolers in an adult setting.  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I totally agree with you Jty. I swear any given department should have one woman max. (Slightly joking...just slightly)

I am glad you posted this.
It got me to thinking, and has given a new insight for me into the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
In that, we should judge by the content of someones character.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

Did you note this to her?  It might be insightful to know her response.

No because her and I already went rounds over a hissy fit she had about parents of autistic children explaining to people when a child is disruptive that they are autisic as being apologetic for something they shouldn't be instead of it being an educational moment when people may be wondering what is wrong ::) Trust me there isn't no getting through. I have, however, had this disagreeent with a friend of mine in person and she backtracked saying well of course character mattered more to which I asked her then why she would even support the idea of supporting women based on gender only since if she does that she will always choose a female before she can even know their character. I told her perhaps she meant she would encourage and support her female friends in their efforts, but that is not the way it is qualified when this discussion happens. The discussion comes across as rah rah--go girl go--no boys allowed. She said she hadn't thought about it that way... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

ps I noted to myself mentally that considering her view on the above she was likely the type who thought any disruption to other folks by her kids didn't desrve notice, acknowledgement, or apology and therefore we would never see eye to eye on that sicne quite frankly I despise other women and mothers like that and they usually are the ones who want this sisterhood of women since lets face it when they stand on their own parenting merits and other qualities it becomes apparent that sisterhood is very necessary to the to avoid responsibility for their intrusive choices and lack of intervention.

So long as you or Schade are that woman, sure!
