For the last 72 hours I have ony watched the Weather Channel.
Am I the only one who just can't stomach ANY news right now? Can't even bring myself to watch "The Daily Show" or "Colbert" although I might try tonight. Sigh.

1. ZERO news for me. Not even the Weather Channel.
So, no, you are not alone.
Even the weather is against us!!

4. We'll get over it in time, I'm sure.
Just feels like the ole homeostasis is skewed.

2. I only watch my local news
So it's not too bad. Plus, I guess I am one of those folks that believes in the theory that "life goes on".
Elections happen. Sometimes they go our way, sometimes they don't.
I guess I am a bit fortunate that I live in blue CT, so I won't be affected as much by the changing of the guard as some others.
But, there's nothing any of us can do about it now. The election is over. Only thing we can do is work to make it better next time.
Hope you have a good evening.

3. LOL
I had the TV off yesterday, but turned it on today. I have been watching Democracy Now and Thom Hartmann mostly. I did turn on Rachel tonight. She didn't talk about the election that I can recall, or at least not very much.
Tweety is dead to me though.

9. Perhaps I should try Al Jezeera.
I'm not use to having the television machine off; I have to have the background noise, even when I sleep. I'm a news junkie who can't watch the news! I'm having withdrawals.

were all these interesting shows out there while I have been watching news.

11. Don't miss "Harlan County USA" if they have it.
Still the gold standard for documentaries.
Oh, I don't know. I've always enjoyed Errol Morris'
Vernon, Florida. It's a classic, in my book. Check it out, primitive.

14. Don't know how long it will take for me to "get over it"
As of today, it's still too fresh.

18. Just heard Rush on the radio saying the Weather Channel has higher ratings than MSNBC & CNN
combined. He probably could of added FOX News, but he didn't.

19. Lots of HGTV here. Rehab Addict, House Hunters, Love it or List it etc....
Love to look at old houses, especially when they're being saved, not "updated" to a hideously inappropriate "open-concept".
Back in the 1800-1900's homes had things called "rooms" and kitchens were "rooms" not part of enormous wide-open spaces. Save that crap for modern houses, don't ruin old homes with "remuddle-ing".
Haven't seen the news since Tuesday night.
Not since Tuesday? Well, let me give you a synopsis: We won.
