She hits back at right-wing media accusations that she molested her younger sister

Girls star Lena Dunham went on a self-described “rage spiral” over the weekend in response to conservative media allegations that, as a child, she molested her younger sister.

In her memoir Not That Kind of Girl, Dunham writes about bribing her little sister, Grace, with candy in exchange for kisses as a child. “Basically, anything a sexual predator might do to woo a small suburban girl I was trying,” Dunham writes. She also details an instance where, as a 7-year-old, she examined her baby sister’s vagina. Several right-wing blogs have blasted the story as admitted abuse.

A fed-up Dunham took to Twitter on Nov. 1 to express her outrage at the allegations

But I do think you could be right about Dunham exaggerating. She might have thought she was sounding funny. Yuk.

I wish I hadn't.  Same subject, same perspective over and over and over.  Easy to see how a child would grow up warped.

Indeed - and a couple of the primitives have it exactly right. If Dunham were conservative, male or both - DU would be in full-on condemnation mode. But since she is one of the current torch-bearers of modern feminism and an absolute Obamadrone, half of DU is trying their damnedest to excuse it.

You know what ? - When you are seventeen years old, and decide the right time to masturbate is when your baby sister is snuggled up to you in your bed, you have a *MAJOR* problem. Its times like this I wish that bainsbane was still around. I'd love to see her reaction to this as a charter member of DU's HOF.

Yeah, they're both bizarrely deviant, AFAIAC.  I didn't research what he makes currently off of that ......*ahem* art, but he's an old money trustafarian (go figure) and the "family" had all the trappings of a VERY well-to-do upbringing and existence (summer home on Connecticut lake, ritzy privates schools, etc, etc).

If Ms. Dunham says that our quotations from her book were “false,” then she should explain whether her statements in which she accused a young college Republican of rape were also false. We look forward to asking her about that in her deposition as well, given that she has reportedly refused to cooperate with Oberlin police to track down the alleged perpetrator, which leaves other young women at risk if her accusations are true.
