How are we related? My mother had a double first cousin. That

situation hardly ever occurs in the last few generations. People are double first cousins when a set of two sisters marry two brothers. Their kids are double first cousins.

So...how would I be related to the kids of Mama's double first cousin? Just regular cousins? Or
first cousins?

1. As far as DNA is concerned, I would think you are more like brothers and sisters.

4. I think you would

just be second cousins. Since you are only related to them through your mom, I don't think the double still applies. I think that is also true of the double first cousins - I think you are a first cousin once removed from them (rather than a double first cousin once removed). But I'm not a genealogy expert so I'm just guessing. The double cousin comes because you mom is cousins with them through her mother and her father but you are only related to them through your mother.

6. I have double cousins on BOTH SIDES of my family!

It makes drawing a family tree VERY interesting!

7. This is starting to sound like a redneck joke.

"Your family tree does not fork."

And it's all saved here for posterity at the DUmpster, too.

9. I think that makes you your own grandpa.

Yes?

Judy is the DUmp expert when it comes to breeding like rabbits and interbreeding, so I'm going to take her word as gospel on this particular subject.

Judy is becoming more and more incoherent every day.
Soon the care facility she is living at will be sending her to one where they tie you in to the chair so you don`t fall on the floor.

I know Florida is in the South, but it's not until you go to North Florida to where you're in the "South". Honkeys be sleepin' with their family up there.
