It opened today, The owner was on the radio, and he was talking up a storm.
1) For an appetizer, you can order a bucket of bacon.
2) You can get a triple bacon burger, the burger itself is 50% bacon.
3) you can order bacon wrapped ribs.
4) breakfast is available all day long.
5) bacon dishes were created from scratch just for this place.

The menu is supposed to be HUGE. The location is right near ME! I'm headed there tomorrow.
Unfortunately, The menu is not online. Wah!

Sorry for the commercial. I don't mean to spam. But if this place works out, "I've got a crazed out bacon restaurant and you don't!"

Drove by there on my way home, it looked packed.  I've only been to the original one down by Drake.  All their food is quite good.

Curses. Foiled again. I may have to allow for more time. Maybe lunch on Saturday.
It apparently has the full Jethros menu plus the new bacon menu. I have GOT to try this out.

Sounds great.

I ended up with a friend that I have been helping in several ways and he just opened a new place in our town. He's worked all over the place and spent several years working with some of the well known guys in Las Vegas. Our town he considers his home town, and his step dad is a well known CMA artist of the year from a few years back.

This is the cowboy burger, toasted onion straws and smoky bacon:

This is the Facebook link: https://www.facebook.com/pages/BIGS-PLACE/743393892358157?ref=br_tf

Several people drive out from Vegas for his food, and it's attracting the students from our Corvette, CTS and Ron Fellows driving school as well as the Front Site Firearm students. Someone you all know was able to help get those clients.  :-)

He is always coming up with a an awesome feature for the week, and the popular he keeps on a separate feature menu. The fish and chips are the best in town, as he uses fresh fish and his own beer batter. The onion rings are homemade as well...I could go on and on...

Just don't way to say too much where the lurkers might see this.

I remember seeing this place (well, not the new location) on Man v. Food.

That was filmed at the original location which I referenced above.  Think there are now five others in various parts of the metro area, each with a slightly different focus/genre emphasized.  From what I've heard, one can't go wrong visiting any of them.  The food and service are excellent at each.  This new one is easily accessible, directly off the major thoroughfare/interstate that cuts right through the heart of the area.

OK, I went right after work. Got in, waited for 15 minutes.

The Bucket of Bacon is a metal toy bucket with 10 strips of bacon (crispy)...95 cents.
(my bucket was dry, not all that impressive)
The Bacon Wrapped Ribs is also an appetizer, you get three for $12 bucks.
There is a lot of BBQ offerings. I'm betting that will be the main stay for this restaurant.
I had the Triple Bacon Omelet, hash browns and toast $12. Pretty Good.

Mostly the specialty bacon dishes were burgers and sandwiches.
What I had was good for the price, but if you want the really decadent bacon dishes, you'll need to go to a bacon fest like the one in Kansas City last month.

Most of the items were around $10 to $14 bucks. Not a bad price really. People in this city have a special love for Jethros. I suggest if you want to try something bacony now, use the take out option and avoid the wait.

I will definitely go back, but it will be for the BBQ and not the bacon. Seriously, you can't beat the prices.

The TV show Bar Rescue did an episode of a place in Las Vegas...it's now a bacon bar & restaurant. I've heard good things about it, such as the bacon bloody mary, but I have yet to try the food or libations.

It has mixed reviews on Yelp, but often yelp hides good reviews as "non recommended reviews" if the person is not a regular yelper, yet often a bad review could be the employee of a competitor. I feel that I am very qualified to review a restaurant as I have restaurant experience but I even find yelp hiding a few of my reviews...I simply give an honest and fair review. I want every place to succeed, especially in my town and neighboring towns. I have even reached out to a few places and helped them do this. All pro-bono...it saves jobs.

Here is the yelp review: http://www.yelp.com/biz/bacon-bar-las-vegas

Here is another sandwich that was created today at one of the restaurants in town that I help:

The Ignition Burger: Fried Macaroni Cheese Ball Between 2 Angus Beef Patty's On Lettuce, Tomato, Grilled Jalapeños, Big's 1000 Island Dressing, Topped With Bacon And Pepper jack Cheese!!

(The burger was named after Ignition Motorsports. That business wraps cars for the local Ron Fellows' Corvette Driving School, our local speedway and  does business cards and vehicle graphics. They also take care of the restaurant's printing and business card needs...so it's a unique way to cross promote a business...I wonder who came up with that idea? I really encourage business to business marketing :-)

I could never eat that -- sorry I'm a wimp! I can't eat burgers that have the added starch on them, mac and cheese, fries, etc. Just give me a plain burger with whatever protein (bacon!), dairy or veggies and I'm good. I'll take the fries on the side.

It never made the feature menu. I never tried it.

The menu was updated and a new feature menu created for the Fall.

Some of the previous items on the feature menu were kept, and a few new items added, others deleted. Keeping it fresh.

Somehow this guy in NV found out about a famous stone ground mustard from Illinois and that is used on one of the sandwiches now.

I have a dog in the fight.

One of my "jobs" is helping a couple local businesses with marketing and getting people in the door. I might even be an investor in one place.

I also help a couple non profits with their social media.
