Mexican federal authorities say they've captured Juarez Cartel leader Vicente Carrillo Fuentes.
Carrillo Fuentes, known as "El Viceroy," was one of Mexico's most wanted criminals.
He was detained in an operation in Mexico's Coahuila state, CNN affiliate FOROtv reported.
Officials say he's led the cartel since 1997, when his brother, Amado "Lord of the Skies" Carrillo Fuentes, died while undergoing plastic surgery.
U.S. authorities had been offering a reward of up to $5 million for information leading to his arrest or conviction.
