In 12 days I will be 50.

I have been on this site since November 2004, pretty much daily. I am going to try to get my post count to 1000 before my birthday.
I find I have been posting more the past few months because I seem to have more time now that my youngest child is almost 20. Even though I do spend a lot of time taking care of my grandsons while my oldest daughter works.

The last goal I had in life was saving enough stamps at the Shop N Save to get a cheesy cheap Rachel Ray bowl. I managed to reach that one. I think I can do this.

1. I have faith in you.

Are your grandsons in school?

Having a goal that requires no effort is so damn hard.  It's a good thing the windy primitive has faith in the OP primitive, lest s/he/it falter.

14. Half a century......wow.

FWIW....I found the fifth decade to be marvelous.
Felt much comfortable in my own skin, had my job skills down pat.
Plus I met the love of my life when I was 53!

ya never know what is around the next corner.

Happy Birthday!

Death, and the sooner the better for you and your geriatric gang.

15. This age does have it's advantages.

I can wear whatever I want and nobody notices or cares. Although being out of work helps with that, too.

And all my life, I hear about how awful hot flashes are, so far I am liking it, especially with fall coming on.

I feel like i have settled most issues with my past and I look forward to the future. This is the icing on the cake!

I've been with "the love of my life" since I was a kid! Now we are learning how to be "just us" since the kids are grown. This could be a lot of fun!

Surprise!  A primitive on the dole.  Remember to work harder so others can collect!

At age 50, I had my first and only child.....most democrat voters have a dozen by that age that they don't even know about.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

Funny, since 50 my goal has been to retire at 65 without relying on Social Security (which will be a nice bonus if it it still there).

This weekend I did the math and it looks like, if I continue doing all the things I need to do, I will reach that goal.

Unfortunately, it is at the cost of my CU post count.

I hope it is worth the trade-off!

I'm not sure, Big Dog, that whole line of feminazi/rape-culture threads was so saturated with stupid I couldn't stand to read most of them.
