Oh there are so many! Any AndyScam thread, but an especially entertaining one was the big fund raising thread with Beth begging for money and flyarm "singing" by posting lyrics.

And the miracle thread where Mrs. Waverly found Andy's missing check. The one that postponed his surgery. The idiots in the mail room lost it on the supervisor's desk. Mrs. Waverly, the compassionate shrew who once, on a rant about abortion (think it was a thread where Skinner was feeling all noble about taking some chick to get one), wasn't it enough that a woman got off the table and said, "Well that sucked!" after having one.

Of course, there's the night the red round one was seeing silver fish running around his hospital room. That was after he had his non-pancreatic surgery at Johns Hopkins. He had to stay at the paupers' hospital because his boyfriend though spending his $50,000 on a new bathroom instead of his partner.

UGP's pineapple thread, I still laugh at that one today. I think that's the same thread where she described her father high tailing it out of there in an old pickup truck, feds in pursuit shooting at them or something.

Who was the chick who said she thought the gods or goddesses or whatever were trying to get her attention by grabbing her hair and whacking her around? It was on that great list that Ralph made ages ago at our old home, detailing all the esoteric spiritual encounters the reality based community had with flying around outside their bodies and making it rain and stuff.

Just want to bring up some names from the past and see who remembers some of these golden oldies:

NightTrain - Guy was a blowhard and on-line boyfriend of liberalhistorian (Lisa) who frequented CU. His name was Dean. We had a great pic of him in a beret that was just laughable. Had one story where he was delivering something to a customer and yelled out "Here's your diapers!" For whatever reason he thought that was funny and posted it at the DUmp and even those freaks raked him over for it. But he was forever saying and doing stupid things and then telling his comrades about it, much to our amusement.

slinkerwink - This girl was some lesbo who lived in NYC (I think), but she was actually decent looking. The DU males would drool over her and say they wanted to get with her and her good looking girlfriends. She finally left the board.

sniffa, mrssniffa, bicentennial baby - The love triangle. sniffa, of course, was the primitive with the broken L key who capitaLized everytime the Letter L appeared in his writings. His wife was the one stupid enough to let another woman into her bed, and bi- was just a nasty, stupid, tramp.

I may come up with some others, but that's enough for now. Please feel free to add other long-lost primitives.

StellaBlue, the primitive who was always starting in a job, and then quitting a few hours later.

I believe--but I could be wrong--she ended up somewhere on the Texas state payroll, and is probably still there, given how well-paid and well-benefited governmental employees are, in comparison with their counterparts in the private sector.

Earlier, she'd been shacking up with a guy in London, who ultimately got tired of her, and by some means or another persuaded her to go home.

Also--this was a very long time ago, eons ago--when he took his family to New York City and it turned out he hadn't brought along enough money, he had to panhandle from primitives to get back home to Ohio.

Apparently he thought one could get a hotel room in Manhattan for ten bucks a night, or something.

This was before his marital problems.

I believe StellaBlue actually quit that job in Texas due to harsh fluorescent lighting.  Not sure what gutter it ended up in though.

It's unfortunate that it got overshadowed by the later Fitzmas--like the Reagan landslide in 1980, itself of epic proportions, got overshadowed by the even greater landslide in 1984--but anyway, after the elections of 2004, the Bostonian Drunkard claimed he had inside information that Kerrey was going to contest Ohio in the courts there.

Nothing happened for a while, and the primitives got curious.  What was going on?

All through November and December, the Bostonian Drunkard came up with one excuse or another, usually blaming the holiday season for the courts being closed so much and so the papers couldn't get filed.  As late as New Year's Eve 2004, he was saying the papers would be filed.....excepting that, well, it was December 31, and the courts had taken off for the holiday.....

It wasn't until around Valentine's Day in 2005 that the primitives quit bothering to ask.

Some other notable names just for the record:

supercrash - This primitive is the one who announced on the island that CU had a B/W forum where we were making fun of the primitives. We had a run of about 2 months (Feb. 2004 - March 2004) where we were slamming them without their having noticed until supercrash opened his stupid mouth. The only good thing it did was make a few dozen moles on DU aware that we existed and we gained a bunch of new members that April.

BurtWorm - I renamed him buttworm. One of the primitives who came over to CU. We ragged his stupidity until he finally burned out by saying a bunch of anti-military things and he was banned. He was just short of 1000 posts when he did himself in.

LongGrain - This freak also came over from DU. He was an artist and had a thing for the cartoon "Bugaloos." I guess his claim to fame on CU was he was banned, but then signed back up pretending to be a woman and got in with some group of the ladies there at CU who had formed their own "women's club" to talk about things that interested them. He was finally outed and boy were they mad at him. He tried to apologize, but to no avail. Never heard from him again. Seems like he also got kicked off DU for stalking the females, too.
