This is a tough year, all the good ones have been taken -- I will monitor the thread for nominees and arguments for/against...

Well, actually there's a whole lot of good candidates for the most memorable primitive.

One thinks of the bird-smacking stoned red-faced primitive "Redstone," poor stupid Beth "EFerrari," grouchy old Don "NNN0LHI," the mountain man primitive "ThomWV," the bitter old Vermontese "cali" primitive, the "Taverner" primitive, "Walt Starr," Fat Che, MoPaul, &c., &c., &c.

What is done is done.  He hasn't contributed much (?) this year, so he won't be in the running this year.

A couple of the clearly Obama knee-pad wearing clown DUmmies stand out to me, PlayingHardball & Prosense.  If you add in DU Jr./Discussionist, Graham4Anything stands out.  Dorkio's combined body of work from both sites has been pretty solidly crazy.  Just my initial thoughts.  I'm certain the pre and post election period will give us some fresh or not so fresh standouts.  It usually does.

I only know cali and taverner.  What about those of us who haven't been here that long?

Well, true; not everybody's been watching the primitives as long as some have.

One just does what one can; nothing more required.

This is why the CCA award was devised; it's franksolich's choice for a primitive who's oftentimes been overlooked in the voting over the years.

Atman won it last year, and this year, I'm leaning towards the long-gone maudlin waif, the "Mythsaje" primitive.
