humanity seems like endless groundhog day. Same bullshit, different era. The inherent flaws of human beings - greed, power, hypocrisy, you name it - seem to trump things every time.

But we seem to be at a particular point where we are no longer capable of big ideas, big successes, big collaborations. Could you imagine a moon landing mission/objective finding success if it was up to funding/agreement these days
Probably because of all you deadbeats that just want a sofa and government check.

I've made contributions, I'm going to vote, but that's it for me this year. My candidates never win anyway, so there's not much I can do about it.

Well, except for the laughs they provide as they discuss their dimwitted and worthless ideology, we're tired of them, too. I wouldn't mind it so much if they'd just talk about it among themselves while decent and civilized people observe. But way too many of them actually want the world to treat them seriously and to adopt their stupidity as though it were intelligent and useful. They need to learn to get over that.

Here's a novel idea, DUmmies: Get a freaking life.

Of course I follow politics.  But I don't let it consume my life.  Personally, I watch a lot of sports, play golf, shoot pool, play cards & socialize with friends.

I think that last item is one of the DUmmies' collective problems, they don't have friends.  Their single-minded obsession has caused many of them to lose every interpersonal relationship they may have ever had or will have.

Attitude is everything. I don't know that I've ever seen a truly happy DUmmie. Well, maybe when one of them is going through a litany of complaints, slights & victimhood to excuse being life's loser while the rest of the asylum residents feel sorry for them.
