I think what's really going on is that she's working, but not nearly the hours she alleges.

She's probably in some sort of intensive psychiatric program that takes up a lot of hours every day, too; remember, she's quite a piece of work.

In addition, because her hanging around with the primitives is obviously a means of avoiding dealing with her real problems, she's been kept away from the internet.
