Star Trek V: Most bizarre movie ever?
« on: September 06, 2014, 12:00:29 PM »
I am not going to poll and I know most of you have SyFy and may be watching it.

I can live with the bad graphics (was this remastered?) and bad acting (SHATNER!!!!!) but the entire thing is strange and bizarre on so many levels.

Great, you take "my pain" away (like we only have one) and of course KIRK is immune to the soporific effect.

But I am watching this freak show and can't stop -- it is like a really grisly highway accident?

Or is it just me?

(You can also apply the critique above to the entire last season of Doctor Who).

Ted Kennedy is the only person with an actual confirmed kill in the war on women.

I forgot to mention...

It is more bizarre than the 1980's "Flash Gordon" AND "Rocky Horror."

And who knew paradise was in New Mexico?

What were they thinking/smoking/drinking?

It isn't that it is is bad (it is), it is like SF "Reefer Madness."

Odd Number Syndrome

But I have to give them this classic line (thanks, Harlan Ellison): "Excuse me -- why does God need a starship?"
