(Banking & Finance) a person to whom money is paid or due you are owed the $$$, or someone in your care is owed the $$$, and checks etc made out to you for you to handle.
irisblue (2,630 posts) Wed Sep 3, 2014, 10:53 PM2. wow...Tom (made up name) has never had a bank account, he mostly works off books, his SS amount will be minute, he'll still cut grass, shovel snow and do scut stuff. I talked him today about this honor he has shown me....tomorrow we'll go open an account at a nearby credit union so he has a place to have the money deposited.
