This is what gets me; there's no way in Hell I can possibly understand it:
.....The RG has been working in the kitchen most of the afternoon.....
So--Ms. Vanderbilt-Astor's husband spends
most of the afternoon fixing a supper that's going to be consumed in fifteen, twenty, minutes?
My God.
When do these people have time to work for a living, sleep, do household chores, socialize with family and friends, and recreate (as in "recreation") if they're spending most of the day simply making supper?
No matter how hard I try, I can't wrap that around my head.
