Years ago there was this thing on DU where there was a "site that cannot be named" and people would get banned for talking about it.

Question: does this site still exist and can we still not talk about it? Despite my attempts ten years ago, nobody would tell me.

3. It rhymed with "conservative cave" and another one rhymed with "old elm tree", both are sorry ass.

The first is truly the one that shall not be named, so I won't name it.

We are legend there, I and others have been named, and they stalk and try to guess real identities of people here.

It's as ugly as the internet can be.

The other site is for bitter folks who don't or didn't like DU or who were banned from DU2, and the moderators are all former famous DUers.

They have a special board called the Pizza Party forum, for, well, you can figure it out.

It's still there, but not a lot of traffic.

Don't feed the trolls. But I do think it's a public service that we know about both boards, especially CC where they would do anything to ruin one of our lives.

Hmmmm.

Skippy sounds a little paranoid there; maybe I need to ramp up his character in my latest primitive saga.

Conservative Underground...since 2004.

Well that's just totally wrong, skipster.

No one guesses at DUmp identities. They are clearly documented in a super-secret forum, and no DUmmy escapes detection for long.

And you are no more "legend" than are the monkeys we laugh at when we visit the zoo. There are legendary DUmmies, like TomInTib, nadin, UGP, and the great walldude, but Skippy is nowhere near their status.

No one here can ruin a DUmmy life. DUmmies do that to themselves in every case.

We only try to keep normal people informed, so they know what's going on with the DUmmies around them.

I call bullshit.

Unless I'm mistaken CU was the original site that shall not be named. Then "the incident" happened and CC came into being. CC quickly became the NEW site that shall not be named. After "the incident" some thought that CU was lost in space, the final frontier, but CU made it through the Carrousel ritual and was renewed, but as far as I know CU did not regain its site that shall not be named status because Darth Vader used the Jedi mind trick to convince the DUers that CU is not the site that shall not be named that they were looking for.

Conservative Underground is the Rodney Dangerfield of forums... they don't get no respect.

Oh how the primitives used to fear Skinner's lash if they mentioned CU.  All that went out the window with DU3/DU Jr, but those DUmmy clowns still can't get it right.

You are correct.

The original lib site that should not be named was PeopleForChange (P4C), the Deaniac kook site that gave the primitives their first taste of freedom away from the island. It was founded by primitive Cap'n Sunshine a/k/a Cap'n Dimwit.  The site is still up but no posts in over a year.

I thought P4C was the ox cart that heifer Eva strapped herself to.

I could be mistaken.  There have been so many fly-by-night progressive forums.

Since 2004 I've been a regular to at least some degree on the following libertarian- and/or conservative oriented news/politics discussion sites (approximately chronologically):

GoldTalk;

The Annoyed Army;

Conservative Cave;

Republican Operative;

Where Liberty Dwells;

Conservative Underground;

Conservative Political Forum.

Of those, two have forums whose topic is some of the sillier stuff discussed on DU. Just two! And neither, in the past several months I've been around both, have speculated a word about a DU member's real name. But if reality is to boring to excite DU folk, they seem to make @#$% up rather than move on to something interesting.

If DU folk see you as a sort of real life political Voldemort, it's a good thing. You've gotten under their skins (on second thought, is being under there - ewww! - a good thing) ...

Nah, I can't remember the name of pudgy Ava's place, but it wasn't P4C. P4C was started when the Deaniacs thought they were being mistreated and not given full reign of Skin's island in 2004. A whole bunch of them ran over there, especially after the scream buried him and they wanted to call out their fellow primitives who were laughing at him but board rules wouldn't allow it.

Out of DU/P4C came ProgressiveUnderground and then DemocraticWarrior a year or so later. OET came along even later. I think scott's NeutralUnderground was up and had fizzled out before OET came on the scene. There were a few fly-by-nights like Ava's attempt and that dimwit liberalguy who tried LiberalUnderground which crashed and burned.

Yeah, sometime we should try to nail down a timeline and different sites before we forget them all.

It seems to me you have the chronology exacty right, although never having gone there, I have no idea when neutralunderground.com fizzled.

Since we're traveling down memory lane, what was the DUmmie's name that was going to put FOXNews out of business with his website? Or maybe it was O'Rielly that he was going to put out of business?

Oh Hell.

I forget the name of the primitive who started a site to ban Fox News; perhaps Mr. Wiggum might remember.

As for putting Bill O'Reilly out of business, you might be thinking of the worthless freeloading bum the panhandling "stewert" primitive, who ran that site rather than working in a real job.

Regardless, both seemed to achieve standard DUmmie success for their efforts.

Regardless, both seemed to achieve standard DUmmie success for their efforts.

So many of them want to ban, extinguish, so many things it's hard to keep track.

One recalls the jubilation of the primitives when conservativecave was attacked, and taken out for about six weeks.

What someone said on our sister site conservativeunderground, should be a warning to primitives who want to take opposing views out of existence; the story of the poisonous water moccasin in the swamp.  One was okay as long as one could see what it was doing.

But when it went underwater, out of sight, one got very nervous.

conservativecave being down didn't mean we sat on our asses and twiddled our thumbs.

I'm not sure what others did, but I took the opportunity to sort out and arrange information on various primitives--it was a real backlog, a mountain, of stuff that the primitives dropped onto our laps--and as a result, the Top DUmmies of 2014 should turn out the best-written, ever.

I had to do a search, but it was "backscatter###" (can't recall the exact DUmmy name) who registered the domain name "quarantinefoxnews".  That worked out quite well, didn't it?
