Mon Aug 4, 2014, 03:52 AM alarimer (12,707 posts) Stressed and can't sleep. I have a job interview via Skype on Wednesday. I'm not really stressed about that (okay a little stressed because I haven't really prepared) but I got home this evening and found a note from the apartment management stating that they were going to do their annual inspections. And guess what date mine is on? The very date of my interview. I've been wracking my brain trying to think of what to do. I will call them (the apartment people) to see if they will at least save my place for last that day, so I can at least do my interview in peace. But I'm not holding out much hope. I've been thinking of other places that have wi-fi, like the library, but I don't think there would be enough privacy there, plus I'm note sure about the internet connection there. Obviously coffee shops and the like are out. A hotel maybe, but in my experience wi-fi at hotels is often terrible. For obvious reasons it needs to be reliable, which it is at home. I spent the weekend at my boyfriend's in DC. I helped him move into a new place up there and we had some fun, but I didn't get to prepare for my interview and I drove back late this evening. Now I am stressed and can't sleep and I have to work tomorrow.
I suggest she smoke a doobie the size of Texas before the interview to help calm her nerves. Maybe drink a fifth to wash it down. Oh, and definitely record it and put it where we can view it later..
