There is nothing in the Constitution that says redistricting happens only every ten years, just that it must be based on the census data that happens every ten years. If you get a favorable legislature and governor before then, redistrict away!

They make this mistake all the time.  You would think it would be mildly embarrassing, so they wouldn't make it again.  Wrong.  For people slavishly devoted to a political website, they don't know shit about politics or government.
