A Belgian physician who refused to treat a Jewish woman with a fractured rib suggested she visit Gaza to get rid of the pain.
 
The physician made the remark on Wednesday while manning a medical hotline in Flanders, Belgium’s Flemish region, whose capital, Antwerp, has a sizeable Orthodox Jewish population, the local Jewish monthly Joods Actueel reported Thursday....
 
“I’m not coming,” the doctor reportedly told the son and hung up. When the son called again, the doctor said: “Send her to Gaza for a few hours, then she’ll get rid of the pain.” According to Joods Actueel, the doctor confirmed the exchange, saying he had an “emotional reaction.”
 
Health ministry officials were looking into the incident, according to the monthly’s online edition. According to Joods Actueel, the doctor knew the patient was Jewish because of Klein’s son’s American accent.

1. Disgusting

There's been a lot of anti-semitic behaviour in Europe....mostly small groups making noise but this is the first I've heard of a doctor refusing to treat a patient. He/she should lose his/her license.

^^^the primitive probably wasn't aware of the Islamic-practicing physician in England who a few years ago vowed to never treat "Christian dog" patients.

It's been a long time now; I dunno whatever happened.  It had been discussed at our old home before our old home crashed.

I don't know about Belgian doctors, but in nursing school, we had it drilled into us that you give the worst excuse for a human being in the world your best care, just as you would for your most loved relatives or friends. You do not let personal moral judgements about drug users, murderers, rapists, child molesters or whatever affect the care you provide a patient.
 
Much less simply for being a specific ethnicity. (Edited to remove comment about 'country', I first skimmed the post and thought she was an Israeli, but rereading more carefully, she was simply Jewish.)
