As much as I dislike the trigger-happiness evident in today's LEOs, I find this article very suspect.  Mostly, something about Ms. Muhammad's story sounds a little too pat, I think.

I think I'll wait to see how it develops before I grab my torch and pitchfork.

So- the guy had a warrant out for his arrest for unpaid parking tickets. 31 of them. In my neck of the woods that's called a Failure to Appear warrant and is a felony arrest warrant.

Not knowing what happened except what is written in the article on a rabidly anti-police web-site, I can imagine the two Law Enforcement officers were approaching the house when the garage door opened and the man began backing out. I highly doubt they opened fire at once, we are not trained that way. Nor are we trained to stand in front of a moving car.

What happened next will come out in court. I hope the LEOs had body cameras. With the suspect's last name being what it is I doubt the court of public opinion will be kind. I can almost smell Holder's JD getting itchy to become involved.

Interesting first posts for a new-be, Hans.

Muhammad said she recognized the constable, who was accompanied by another man, from his previous attempt to serve the shooting victim with a warrant for unpaid tickets.

She saw them coming, warned her boyfriend and he ran out to the car and tried to leave while one of the constables was in the drive behind the car.

Yup. That was the element that the OP article was missing.  I thought there was a reason the OP didn't smell right.

Thanks, sir! :cheers1:

pay your parking tickets and you won't be in a position where you can get shot.

And who racks up 31 parking tickets?  In my 35+ years of driving, I have received one parking ticket that I promptly paid.

I think in my young and stupid days, I racked up a string of 5 once, before they just towed the car.

Yeah, I learned my lesson.  This guy must have really been working at his post-graduate level stupid degree.

So he was shot in the back.....so which way was he facing while he tried to back over the constable?

So he was shot in the back.....so which way was he facing while he tried to back over the constable?

Shit happens, When two cops came to my door I saw them a coming and opened the door.

I was told they were  there to question my husband. I opened the door and just about pulled them in.  I didn't want the neighbors to see the police at my house.

WTF------They told me my pc. had been used to scam people out of money and had a search warrant to get my PC.

Husband paid the bills for the PC but never used it, most likely had no idea on how to even turn the darn thing on.

The town cop who came along with this this police officer from out of town was a young and was trying to be bad cop.  First he asked me to lock up my 6 pound dog and then told me I could not smoke.-------------No problem, I had the E- cig.

I was so rattled I needed help to remember my Husbands  work number, a work place I my self had worked for 22 years.

All this was so odd, so out of the any way  at any time in my life , And not being PC literate myself, how was it possible that my PC had been used to harm others.

End of story, they took my Pc and it was returned in 3 weeks.

I have never had any problem with Cops.   Do as the say, ask no questions,  respect them and later is the time to ask questions and find out what the heck is going on.

Strange how the mind goes blank when faced with things that come out of nowhere.
reason when eye witnesses    all disagree on what they saw.

You left an important little tidbit out of your story.

I didn't purposely leave an important tidbit out of the story because I wasn't aware of it. Other members reported on the discrepancies they found on the story.

Maybe you should have researched it a little better before you put such a sarcastic tone to it, maybe saved yourself a little embarassment.

I tried to check into it, but couldn't find anything else on it.

As for "embarassment", I'll admit it when I'm wrong, which I was. I bet that there are others here who can't say that.

You only saw what you wanted to see and were not curious enough to research further.

It's not the other members job to do yours for you...which is proper research of a story before you post it.

I found the other information by following a link from the site you linked to as your source.  That site only offered info to make the police look bad.

Well, looking at the time stamp on your post and the date at the top of the article that included what was left out of the article you posted,  the more complete article was online some 23 hours before your post. Your "tried to check into it" was either pretty cursory, or you need to get some Google Fu.

As for your, "Everybody does it," snippy-snarky come-back, besides showing your admission to be of little value, yes, I do admit, online, as prominently or more so than my error, when I have been wrong about something. Half - or more - of the time, I'm the one who find what proves me wrong and post it on my own initiative.
