It's just a question; no change in any forum's being considered, and undoubtedly if the DUmpster were to really become a closed forum, the backlash would be such that it would be unclosed in a hurry.

But anyway, the contents of the DUmpster seem to really bother the primitives, upset them, bend them out of shape, drive them to distraction, get them all paranoid.

The solution of course is easy, as Skins proposed it years ago--the primitives simply shouldn't be coming here, period.  My fellow alum was remarkable in his foresight, seeing long before we did, how the DUmpster would negatively impact the primitives.

But the primitives don't listen to their lord and master Skins any more than they listen to franksolich; they insist upon torturing themselves by coming over here.

If something in the DUmpster discombobulates them, well, it's their own fault.  The primitives shouldn't be snooping and prying and eavesdropping in the first place; it's rude, it's bad manners.

Of course they'll be coming over here and registering to see, unless of course they have to make a hundred posts before they are allowed to see it.  Most get banned by then.

I voted Nope. (Mostly because the 'bacon' or 'TEH JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOS' options weren't present. )

There's a difference between an anthropological study where the Proglodytes are aware they're being observed, and one where we know they're aware, and now we're just pushing buttons so that we can be entertained by what happens.  I think such a move crosses that line.

Besides, we know what will happen, don't we: lock up the DUmpster forum and the collective(ist) paranoia over on Skinner's Island of Misfit ****-ups would shoot clear off the scale.  With that as the backdrop, you can be sure we'd be blamed for everything from PHDD's too-tight fitting brassiere to Warpy's on-going chemical dependency, to every downturn in The Holy WON of Shit-Cago's 0-conomy.  Not that this bothers me per se (it's par for the course of living in the same universe with DUmbshits)...

As a final note of caution, I'd simply say that if the original stated purpose of the DUmpster is to shine the light of truth upon what the perpetual failures, losers, and retards which inhabit The Island think of normal, rational people, would it then make sense for the board which was designed to display all that dysfunction and insanity to be CLOSED to the general viewing public (and not just Proglodytes)?

Anybody worried about the DUmpster restricting its audience shouldn't; it's not going to happen.

It's just an idle question, because I wish there were some way primitives who get bothered by constructive criticism and helpful hints would stop coming here, as they then get all excited and bent out of shape.

I've suggested to my fellow alum Skins, who doesn't want the primitives over here any more than I do, that he have the elusive enigmatic Elad design some software that every member of Skins's island has to install after registering but before posting.

Such software, every time a primitive went to www.conservativecave.com, would then blow up the primitive's hard-drive.

I thought it was a good idea, but nobody over there pays attention to me.

I voted, not sure. I would love to close the DUmpster for a few months because it would torment the primitives.
But I think it is better to open and honest about what we say and do.

all the world needs to see the mockery of DUmmies. and it is best the world has the grand central CC station of the Dumpster. we preserve the posts that DU scrubs.

You get my drift; there's some things the primitives don't need to see, because it's none of their business. 

Fortunately, we've made two steps in the right direction; there's one closed forum for primitive threads and information that for any one of different 2,087,634 reasons would be too hot for the primitives to handle.

And of course voting for Top DUmmies is now exclusively by secret ballot; no more public voting to give the primitives any idea how it's going.

I dunno why they're so obsessed with what we think of them; I mean, hey, as superior people, smarter people, virtuouser people, the primitives shouldn't worry about what those lesser than them think of them.

I said closed, as I have done before, because they tend to be even more whacky than they are when they think no one is looking. In lieu of that, I have wanted to get a DUmpster2 forum that was hidden to them for some of the more "special" comments and coordination of activities we wish to engage. Yes, we have other places to do these things, but it would be better to have it labeled in a way that's unmistakable as to its intent.

Of course, I don't expect any of this to happen.

Voted not sure.  On one hand if it was closed it would likely push a few of the more crazed primitives on over the edge.  On the other hand it should stay open for many reasons that have already been stated.

That is exactly half of why I think it should remain open, the more gnashing of teeth and pronouncements of impotent rage it causes, the better.  The more of pissed off it makes them, and the more of them that it pisses off, the better!

The other half is that it is the most well-fueled, stoked, and frequented subforum on the site, and so very important as a recruiting tool for fellow Conservatives who find themselves flabbergasted by the width and depth of DUmmtard stupidity, and are seeking like minds.
