Why is he not allowed to make money?

When I met him he seemed decent enough and I did not pay a penny for the privilege. He was still editing Bowling for Columbine and while screening some of it he was kind enough to warn us there was some footage of the Oklahoma City bombing in case we did not want to see it.
 
Right while we were talking to him some asshole came up and had a picture taken of him and Moore while he was holding a sign that said, this jackass thinks i want to talk to him.
