I was thinking of posting (Comicon)
at least the galleries. Articles, meh. It is just a major international event, with attendees and press from literally everywhere.

We are lucky, or unlucky, depending on your point of view, to host this. It's larger than the Super Bowl and great for the local economy.

We have met U.S. Congressmen here, hotnobing with Austranauts, well known authors and yes, comics artists

But a small group makes me fear that a stalker behavior will develop since we dared interview some of these wonderful people.

So yup, major cultural event, covered by national and international media, but as far as this place, I guess it never happened. I got to think of those we interview, and the behavior of a very small group of individuals

http://www.discussionist.com/101626359

I'd comment, but it never happened. Except it did so yup. Suffice it to say that a small group...nope...scratch that...A VERY SMALL GROUP is prone to point out the "professional journalist's" mistakes. Plus members of that very small group may try to make contact with the space folks from Australia who are very private.

Austrianauts are from Austria. Austranauts are from Australia. Did you miss the memo again?

Assuming she did not misspell "Austrianauts".

Press coverage of ComiCon is slightly below that of NYIAS or SEMA in intensity.  Nad's insignificant presence would not improve the already-available coverage in any way.

Seems to me a professional journo should be exploring this hotnobing business in a little more depth.

Maybe even take a few shots of it with The Good Rig.

I've been to four county fairs and two goat breedings and I've yet to see anyone hotnobing.

You offer a very real possibility. That means that I've overlooked a very obvious possibility and offered her helpful insight all the last few minutes. Maybe my mojo is slipping.

7. "...hotnobing with Austranauts..." Did you mean 'hobnobbing with Astronauts'?

The original seems, well, obscene somehow.

Of course, at the Super Bowl the field is only three hundred feet long, so....

Now in nad's defense on the face of it it would probably seem to be bigger than the Super Bowl, but when taken as a whole to-do the Super Bowl would be on top. I feel that it is just an honest mistake or attempt at hyperbola on her part...

What in the world is happening to me? I'm going to have to put myself on some sort of self-probation until such time that I get this mojo business back.

Luckily I know a guy who does speak Austrian.

Professor Called Racist For Correcting Black Student’s Grammar And Punctuation

Val Rust, a professor of education and information, was the target of the protestors for what they feel was racial insensitivity. Amazing.  All at once, a blithering narcissist with no physical or mental reason to be such, a clueless, condescending, know-it-all jerk who is an intellectual half-wit, a persecution complex, that should come as no surprise and a hopeless paranoid case.  I see.......  stalkers.  :panic: Who refuses to admit that people aren't stalking.  They're laughing.

Amazing.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.

Thanks for bringing that over.  I was hysterical when I first read it.  Just the mental image of 'hotnobbing' and what an 'Austranaut' might look like or do for a living is making me giggle again.  I'm so looking forward to her return to the DUmp.

We're not "stalking."  We're watching and laughing, as if the whole thing's a half-hour situation comedy on television.
