Gosh....this is the never ending scandal.

House investigators: IRS tech experts say Lerner’s hard drive only 'scratched,' not destroyed

GOP-led Ways and Means Committee investigators, in their quest to recover missing Lerner emails, learned her hard drive was damaged but recoverable by talking to IRS information-technology experts, after the government originally refused to make them available, according to the committee.

In addition, learning that the hard drive was only scratched also raises questions about why the IRS refused to use outside experts to recover the data.

“In fact, in-house professionals at the IRS recommended the agency seek outside assistance in recovering the data,” the committee said Tuesday in a release.

House investigators said they also are trying to determine whether the scratch was accidental or deliberate.

The committee also said a review of internal IRS documents found Lerner’s computer was actually described as “recovered.”

Apparently the IRS just can't leave well enough alone. They're behaving as if they just can't wait to throw each other under the bus. As if that's going to detract from Trey Gowdy and his investigation into Benghazi....

I still want to know WTF her HD has to do with emails...  I can shot my ****ing computer with a missile and still retrieve my emails because THEY ARE ON A ****ING SERVER!!!  Do they think we are all idiots?

That is like saying if my computer crashes I lose my Private Messages on CC.

 Just one slight point of correction though: especially since this is the IR Frackin' S, those e-mails - by law, mind you - must be on MULTIPLE servers. And they must STAY on those multiple, redundant servers for a whole helluva lot longer than a mere 4 years. IRS chiefs admitting to anything less than that being the situation which actually obtains, are admitting to an explicit, intentional violation of the law for which - if the regime running the show were anything other than the banana republic we have running this circus - he and all subordinates responsible for the maintenance of those records may be held directly, criminally liable.

They found a way to provide some fake emails that exculpate Obama from any wrongdoing.
