There will be a huge rightwing Obama blame festival.McCain, Graham,and Cheney will say Obama is weak and should have attacked Russia.

Let's be honest. Obama bears some responsibility. He pushed for Ukraine to move to better relations with Europe and to shift away from Russia.  That was a part, albeit a small part of the whole Ukrainian mess.
