AGGGGHHHHH!!!! My tongue was so bloody I thought I'd stain the carpet.

A local assisted living facility ran into a crunch needing a minister for their Sunday afternoon non-denominational service. I got the call on Thursday and agreed to do it with little to no guidance. I figured non-denominational really meant non-denominational Christian. (wee bit of a theological gap, but not insurmountable) I had no idea until I got there that it really meant non-denominational Baptist (uh, right). Whoops! More than a wee bit of a theological gap between me and the congregation. However, except for one woman with daggers shooting out of her eyes, my exegesis of the book of Jonah seemed to be fairly well received.

BUT

Before the service started I couldn't help but overhear three of them loudly talking politics. Two solidly pro-McCain and one simply anti-McCain and not terribly strongly pro-Obama. I wanted to scream when I heard the woman shrilly proclaim that she didn't care what anyone had to say she just KNEW Obama was a Muslim. AAGghh! So ****ing what if he was. The pro-McCain pair said they were frightened of what this country would become if McCain was not president. THEY'RE frightened?! I will give the anti-McCain guy credit when he pushed the issue and got the woman to admit she couldn't vote for Obama because she was racist.

I want to crawl back into a cocoon and not have to listen to such ignorant tripe.

Assisted living facility?  Gee, why would any of them have any fear of a Democratic president??  (Terri Schaivo, maybe?)

See, right there the story just flopped.  It was actually going believable until he had to try to make it bounce.

I've only met one person before who would actually admit that they where racist.  And they where not the church going type.  This person wouldn't have stood there in church and said "Yeah, I'm gung-ho about McCain, but I'm not going to vote for Obama cause he's a neeeeeegrooooo."  :whatever:

What I find galling is this woman gives sermons? And she spews foul language like that?
One would think a Christian leader would have a higher sense of responsibility...

On the other hand this is DU. The entire story could be a fabrication.
Still I shudder at people stuck in a room with a DUmmie minister speaking a sermon.
DUmmies despise Christians and all they we stand for. I can only imagine the blasphemies in a sermon spoken by a BDS sufferer.

Man.... this story started sooo good. It flopped at the end. I'm disappointed. :whatever:
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

Well I'm thinking to back before the 2004 election.   I thought back then she seemed like a relatively normal person.   Bouncy was always a little goofy and had that tendency to exaggerate, but pacific patriot seemed somewhat normal.    She did go nuts in 04, but I remember being pretty surprise at the first DU story I saw from her.

Oops sorry,  I meant "WASN'T" not "was".

I just figured at DU she could let her crazy hang all out instead of letting it out a little at a time at the parenting site.

She is pretty careful now about keeping personal info off the boards.  So I don't know.

Probably a good thing.

I kind of miss ol' Bouncy.  She kept me entertained.

It would help if you filled the rest of us in. ..unless you want me to create a Schadie/Terry/BEG forum.  :whatever:
