I go with the wild west way of live, survival depended on team work for family's to survive. The only MENS work was things that woman did not have the upper body strength to handle, in times of emergency however woman found a way to get these things done.
Men did fight off the Indians and robbers but the woman and kids backed them by reloading their guns. Just in case the Man was away when trouble came, the woman and kids as young a 5 years old knew how to shoot and protect themselves.
How did they learn, well the woman were taught by their fathers and brothers then the skills were passed down to their children by their MAN.
As we say real men also learned skills from watching their mothers and knew how to do what is called woman's work, cook, clean, and in case the woman became ill how to take over her tasks as well as his own.
To be equal in the sexes is nonsense. We are built to do what we can with brains or brawn. I for one know that equality among same sex is impossible.
We built this country from scratch built it on team work between the sexes.
