Costco Wholesale, the second-largest retailer in the United States, has apparently decided to remove all copies of Dinesh D’Souza’s bestselling book, “America: Imagine a World Without Her,†from its stores nationwide, WND reports. The decision to yank the book, if true, would coincide with the theatrical release of D’Souza’s new film of the same name last week.
Scott Losse, an inventory control specialist in the book department at the Costco Wholesale’s Issaquah, Washington, corporate office, reportedly confirmed that a nationwide “pull-order†was issued for D’Souza’s book. All copies are now reportedly required to be removed by July 15.
http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/07/07/report-costco-is-removing-conservative-authors-bestselling-book-from-its-stores-nationwide/If there was a Costco here, I'd be tempted to pull a page from the DUmmies playbook. Go to Costco on July 16 or 17, if the book isn't there, load a cart with the most expensive items I could find, then ask a salesperson for help finding the book. When they say they aren't carrying it, tell them that it was the main thing you wanted and then leave the cart in their care and leave the store.
