Pretend reporter who has broken...uh...well...hmm...no real news stories has been chastised and has vowed to post SPOILER ALERT warnings on breaking news stories that someone other than her broke (aka all news stories). She has also vowed to now unleash the dreaded TRIGGER ALERT warning.

but the truth is, look the OP and some of the exchanges. Some of the shitty alerts directed at me, are just that, shitty. They got lucky with this one. But they alert, constantly. The system is broken. I also get constantly attacked by the same crowd, it is a small crowd, and they get away with murder... constantly.

Now if you do not mind, spoiler alert, I got an article to finish on inequality. Which will be posted here with the proper warnings, such as trigger alert, is critical of economic policy and spoiler alert, deals with economic policy. Every where else... it will run with proper title.

And don't worry about me spoiling your sports... there is a game now, but who the **** cares? I might spoil it.

I read other liberal blogs and there are sympathetic trigger warnings littered throughout the posts, whether it is the source or the material addressed within.  It's a sad way to live your life.

Strange. For some reason it brings to mind the Seifeld episode where a reporter (?) thought George and Jerry where homosexuals. Any time they denied it they had to add "not that there's anything wrong with that."

I've never noticed the trigger warnings. Of course, unlike some people I OPENLY admit that I'm only a pretend reporter. I have, however, noticed that we don't have to use the "sarcasm" tag nearly as much on our side of the river as they do on the island side.

No, they actually proclaim "Trigger Warning", followed by a description of whatever sensitive issue they are addressing.  It's the saddest thing to witness, grown people that can't handle words displayed on a computer screen.

I am enjoying the thread and the discussions it has generated.

What I am stunned by is that someone could be so offended by seeing a soccer score.
Then I am stunned how people so sensitive about being offended by seeing a soccer score can bully and berate someone into submission caring not a whit about that person's sensitivities.

I didn't think I would say this anytime soon, but I'm on nadin's side on this one, and I oppose the overly sensitive bullies who got their little feelings hurt by having to read a soccer score.

gNads seems to be a very unhappy, lonely person.  One of the reasons I think this is her score of 3310 DU posts in 90 days.  If it only takes 5 minutes (on average) to prepare and type a post, that's a lot of minutes on line - and there are other forums she haunts as well.

That doesn't seem to me the activities of a happy person.

I almost feel sorry for her.  Almost.

Well that's a 90 day break from DU for her, maybe she'll find another hobby. 

On Edit, her first hide is from April 27th, so it was about to drop off anyways.  I guess that they will continue to let her post with 4 hides.  Brain fart, it won't drop off 'til Jul 27.
