So let me get this straight? To understand the poor, you once had to be poor...
And if you were never poor, how dare you comment on the poor.

Am I getting this meme right?

10. What happened to provoke this?

This is a RW Meme of course - it's what the phrase limousine liberal points to. And of course those who are upper middle class or wealthy are big hypocrites for not giving away all their money to the poor.

But not sure that's what you are talking about here.

How does it feel to live every day twisting into knots to explain away your leftist hypocrisy?

Well, if and when she were ever to find herself flat broke and indebt, her attitude toward money would change. Until then, she better learn a trade because she couldn't sell sex to a troop train.

I have to agree with this. If you're a lib who's "concerned" about income inequality and/or the poor, however you're sitting on a pile of cash stating your solution to this is raising taxes on "those who have," then all you're saying to me is "I claim I care, but what I really want is for others to pay for my concern, and I'm willing to pitch in some of my own."

No, that doesn't work at all. If you're really concerned, then you do all you can to the point where you end up being as poor or more poor than those you claim you'd like to help, then come to others and show by example what you were willing to do and ask for them to also help.

Until then, it's all a bunch of talk with you and your ilk, el bryanto primitive.

Did the rich liberals not get rich on the backs of under paid labor? ....on the backs of the poor?

I'm reminded of this song which is probably a Liberal/Prog anthem.

However the questions arise, 'Why should I mire myself in someone else s misery?" Why should I lower my own expectations in life to this extent? Why not raise the "other person" to a higher level so they don't live that kind of life?", NOT through hand-outs, rather by a hand up.

No, in Liberal fashion you must understand their self imposed pain (every "situation" in the song is self imposed) and then call yourself 'caring" because you know "what it's like".
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

When they're travelling, Chelsea cuts the grass.

Her dad, Webb, does all the mulching and weeding.

Poor Webb, he always gets the dirty jobs.

Well, he might still be voting but I am pretty sure he's dead.

He's lucky to be alive then.

Wouldn't the inverse be true for the rich as well?  How could they criticize the 1% (a notable minority) without understanding wealth?

If you want to be broke, ask a broke person how he(she) did it.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

I came into this world with absolutely nothing. By working hard and being honest , I still have most of it.

Poor in America is not possible unless your a complete idiot! Oh wait!
"Liberalism is an essentially feminine, submissive world view. Perhaps a better adjective than feminine is infantile. It is the world view of men who do not have the moral toughness, the spiritual strength to stand up and do single combat with life, who cannot adjust to the reality that the world is not a huge, pink-and-blue, padded nursery in which the lions lie down with the lambs and everyone lives happily ever after."
