Man living on roof after home 'too littered' to live indoors
Quote
HOUSTON -

A South Houston man was forced to live on top of his home after his house became too littered to live indoors.

According to neighbors, the man has been living inside a makeshift structure he built on his roof for more than a year.

City officials said in the past decade the man received numerous warnings about the trash and debris around his home on Klondike Street. He's even served jail time for not complying, officials said.

But this week, city crews executed a warrant to clean up the mess after fire inspectors deemed the home a safety hazard.

The outside cleanup is expected to take at least three days. When that's complete, a lien will be placed on the property to pay for the extensive cleanup.

Officials told Local 2 that abatements of this magnitude are usually only done a handful of times each year.

How lazy can you be? There is a DUmmy chick who has pictures of herself in a trash filled house. I wonder if this is a consistent trait with DUmmies.

I used to pass a house on the way to the mountains that was probably like that. Over the years, the person living there had put up a chain link fence to contain the trash around the home. The trash was stacked 8 feet high inside the fence. There was just enough room inside the gate to park a trash filled pickup truck with like a narrow hallway leading to the front door. All you could see was trash and the roof of a house.

The person who lived there must have died or something because the last time I went that way it had been cleaned up.
