The outside vendor in charge of storing IRS emails had their contract cancelled two months after Lerner's hard drive crash.

Ways and means chairman asks Lerner if she's targeting Tea Party groups.

11 days later her hard drive crashes.

2 months later the IRS cancels contract with vendor who stores IRS data.

The servers the information was stored on probably belonged to the IRS and had to be handed over, including any back up tapes.
