Will Hagel take the fall and suddenly retire with full benefits ?

.

I don't know, but over the course of the day several libs were pushing that story, and on The Five , Beckel said it wasn't all Obama's decision, but that the military made the choice.

This story just goes from bad to worse for Bergdahl and the Democrats.

Another one of the smartest people on earth just stepped in it....again.

Susan Rice: Bergdahl served with “honor and distinction"

This flunky must love being made a fool of again.

Quote
Did the White House send Susan Rice out on another Sunday talk show fool’s errand? Just as with the Benghazi attack, Barack Obama’s national-security adviser went out on a Sunday to discuss a burgeoning controversy, and perhaps without a full set of the facts in front of her.

So when he gets home.  What do you think the reaction will be?

Will he get a ticker tape parade?

If it's through his hometown, Berkeley, Boulder, or some other land of fruit and nuts, maybe. If it was through Fayetteville, NC, Killeen, TX, or Clarksville, TN, the ticker tape might be replaced with cinder blocks...

bullshit. Obama is CINC.  The left loves to give him credit for bin laden's death but now that this terrorist exchange has gone bad they are trying to distance him from the mess.

Haven't you figured it out yet? If something goes right, it's because of Obama. When something goes wrong it's the scapegoats fault.

Hailey, Idaho, the hometown of Bowe Bergdahl, is flooded with "angry deserter" calls.

Click on the link, its a good read. Liberals are not understanding the backlash. People are canceling vacations to the town. Merchants are losing money. Why all the hate for a deserter? Waaaah!

Listening to Mark Stein on Limbaugh's show today, and it appears as if his hometown in Idaho had originally scheduled a ticker tape ride down main street for our prodigal son, but announced that such festivities are cancelled until further notice, with all of the crap falling down around Bergdahl's ears lately.

Because the town was planning on a huge influx of visitors, and scheduled celebration events to cash in on that.
Seriously. You don't treat deserters like heroes.

Replace "they" with "The Regime", and I think you'll find it makes a whole lot more sense.

No. I am afraid you can't put that at Barry's feet. It is the SOP for missing service people to be continued along the promotion path.

Maybe by the left wing tree hugging hippies who hate the military under normal conditions.

And yet they reward him with a rank increase to Sgt. :banghead:

And I heard a report yesterday that as early as next week he could get promoted to Staff Sergeant (E-6)

How is that possible when he walked off?  He deserted?  The gov't never listed him as a POW?

As long as the myth of him having been a POW remains...then they can promote him along the normal timelines he'd have been expected to make rank.

As much evidence as their is agaisnt him and that proves he deserted to go join the enemy...I'll be greatly surprised if they actually initiate an Article 32 hearing into the allegations.

This whole "he suffered enough" meme will take hold and we'll just be some mean troop bashers for wanting the investigation to go forward.

Army Investigation: Bergdahl Search Left Outpost Vulnerable To Brutal Attack

An internal investigation conducted in the wake of one of the bloodiest battles to take place in the war in Afghanistan found that “priorities shifted” from an outpost attacked by 300 Taliban, in part, because of the search for Bergdahl.

Eight soldiers died and 27 were wounded at U.S. Army Combat Outpost Keating during the Battle of Kamdesh, which occurred on Oct. 3, 2009 in the eastern Afghan province of Nuristan.

Keating was manned by around 60 troops.

In an investigation of any failures during the battle, an Army report, obtained by TheDC, put at least some of the blame on the ongoing search for Bergdahl.

Chuck Hagel doesn't even know of any soldiers that died.

It's quite astonishing after her Benghazi talking points scandal.  Guess she doesn't mind if Obama makes a fool (liar) of her.  What a dupe.

Susan Rice, being a leftist America-hating scumbag herself, probably thought she was telling the truth.
