This time in Santa Barbara CA area. Gunman plus six others dead.

But hey, let's hand out guns to the "severely mentally disturbed" because you know, it's their constitutional right to bear arms. And if we go down the road of denying them access to weapons, it's a slippery slope to, gasp, SENSIBLE GUN CONTROL!!


Doubt the kid got the gun legally, but who am I to **** up a good leftist meme.

Registration of all guns just like cars
No-one can transfer a gun to anyone else without registration forms being completed.
Regular testing of competence to use a gun, just like cars.
Get caught with even one unregistered gun, or commit any crime of violence, or make any threat to use the gun against a person and lose any and all weapons available to you (including those owned by/registered to family members at the same address, or any weapons at any address for which you have unlimited access).

Registered owner is the person responsible for any and all harm done by the weapon, unless a proof of theft from an appropriately strong safe can be furnished.

Anyone who shoots someone else in the dark without establishing their identity and the fact of their being armed is guilty of an offense (no more ridiculous stand your ground BS).

I'm sure others can come up with equally reasonable other suggestions

Go ahead, DUmmies, change your traditional stripes and fight to make it easier to brand people as mental incompetents, I'm sure you'll want to be using it for your disability claims and to explain why nobody will hire you...you may not be quite so happy when you all lose your driver's licenses and have to have conservators appointed to handle you finances.  Of course you'll be taking every vet with PTSD or a recorded TBI down with you, but I know that doesn't mean shit to you.

Note my home state of S.C.. The western tip is very red, mostly white and very republican(except transplanted Yankees). Now look at central S.C. to coastal area very blue, large black population and mostly democrat.

No one in the NRA has ever promoted giving guns to those mentally incapable of owning them I dare DU to prove it otherwise. We have had the head of the DOJ give guns to drug dealers and people were killed and yet none of them seem to care. Must because most of the dead are poor Mexicans.

Depends on what is considered mental health.

People do snap from one thing or another, crimes of passion, find wife in bed with your best friend and in TX it use to be one could shoot them both with no problem.

It is the calm and well known, the Ministers and Rabies beloved men and woman in the community that are featured on Dateline for offing their spouses.
