"Vantage Point" movie review
« on: July 03, 2008, 11:07:07 PM »
A. We should have a movie review section....

B. I loaded up the DVD thinking I was seriously going to hate this movie.  It looked kind of pretentious and too intellectual in the previews.  The movie is told from the view point of several different people.  I thought it would just be various people in the crowd giving interviews about the event they witnessed.

I was far from correct.  The view points come from the good guys and the bad guys and tie up the entire plot.  The plot was really good too.  The stunts and action scenes were great.  I would have to rate it at least an 8 out of 10.  Because the beginning of the movies shows a large anti-American protest and some liberal reporter makes an anti-American statement in the first 5 minutes I was dreading the next two hours.  Don't let the first 5 minutes fool you!
All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.

Yeah Sigourney Weaver's character laid the smack down on that little twit reporter.   Too bad they don't have tv producers like that on CNN, MSNBC, and CBS.

Yeah, I saw it Tuesday and thought it was great.    It kept your attention until the very end.

I give it a 8 out of 10.

Agreed!

(I saw the movie too, it was good.)
