Oh my.

The primitive once known as the "droopy drawers" primitive:

I'm having a colonoscopy done tomorrow, so prep today.

This is different from the last time I did it. The last time I had to drink a gallon of this stuff that tasted like your car could run on it. The flavor packets were a joke.

This time, they gave me 12 Dulcolax tablets to take- 6 at noon and 6 at 3pm. Nothing happened after I took the first 6 and nothing was happening after I took the second 6, either. At about 4:30 I called the nurse at the hospital to ask if I was doing things right. I got their machine and left a message. Almost as soon as I hung up the phone I was running for the bathroom.

I think all is going well now. I have two bottles of magnesium citrate in the fridge just in case I need a little extra. Party on.

Some people think the worst part of having a colonoscopy is the procedure itself. That really isn't the, ahem, shitty part. They put you out for that. One minute you're laying there on the table, then seemingly the next you're in recovery ripping a world record fart.

The bad part is the day before when you have to do the prep. You can't have anything to eat all day, there's a good chance you'll have to drink a lot something that will make you want to vomit, and you're on the shitter about 20 times. Don't even think about going anywhere once you start that prep.

The primitive's substantially overweight; the last time he had this procedure one thought he'd learn, and drop some of that surplus so as to lessen the chances he'd have to do this sort of thing again.

1. Yep, that's how it is, my dear Tobin!

I hope everything goes well tomorrow, during the procedure!

Can't really argue with that. A colonoscopy knows no party loyalty.

Gee whiz, I hope everything came out all right.   :whistling:

A DUmmie's colon should really be viewed like Pandora's Box.  Nothing of interest lies therein.

All sorts of things that may have went in both ends and gotten stuck are now residing there.

At a certain age, doctors are determined to make you have one whether you have any indications of problems or not, as part of a preventive medicine protocol.  For instance, anyone still in the military and on active duty after age 50 will have to have one every five years until they retire.

The bolded says it all.  It's that way in civilian life, as well.

Squishy, runny . . . yes. :runaway:

It is very important to get a check on your butt after age 40.

My story------

Took hubby into get his butt checked out, no reason just an age thing.

The night before he slept on a carpet next to the toilet due to the stuff he had had to take to clean him out. Poor guy must have lost 10 pounds in one night.

Next morning into the hospital and the procedure, I had to wait for an hour or so to see him, this big man of mine looked like a huge child curled into a fetal position totally helpless.

Finally got him to his feet to get him home, on the way out I noticed two color photos of the before and after procedure on a table and took them with me.

I got him home and rolled into bed and then began to check out the photos, the before showed  quite a few growths that were up in there, the later showed his innards after they were removed.

So I decided to post the photos on my refrigerator and anyone coming into my home ask " what the hell are these pictures of " I could tell them they were of Hubby's Ass Hole.

I should of had them framed but they disappeared one day.
