It's a year to year job now with no rights.

Exactly what did the children of Kansas lose? Lazy scum with teaching certs (most likely bought or barely scraped by to get) who must now produce results? Having to sit in their classroom listening to the 'teacher' drone on about their personal problems or the fact that the teachers 100% salary is for 75% of the year.

No tenure, annual contracts.

Theoretically, politicians are supposed to be on a merit system wherein they only get reelected if the population believes they are worthy.

Is it the suggestion of this idiot cartoonist and its idiot fans that politicians should be elected once and then given lifetime tenure, collective bargaining and union rights?

Isn't that exactly the worst thing that could happen to politics because it would make politicians corrupt, slothful and unresponsive?

Yet, somehow we're supposed to believe that a group that is gunpoint-funded by taxpayers and who collects mandatory dues as the extortion for joining the clique and then funnels that money to politicians (READ: democrat politicians committing armed robbery of the taxpayer and laundering the money into their own reelection coffers) suddenly turns this into a virtue.

Public education higher than the county level needs to be destroyed. It is corrupt beyond redemption.

Vesta, a teacher's job is NOT to instill their views. That is our problem today. Too many teachers are installing views instead of teaching.

Chuck, teachers teach what they were taught to teach from others that were also taught the same.

When a teacher just excepts and does not question their own teaching, does not look into where the ideas came from and why, then the student may be taught things that have a political view and not fact.

As kids we are taught as our teachers, parents and grandparents were taught.   This is life, one teaches the kids what they were taught.    BUT, what if the teachings from the past have been infected with ideas from subversives, greed or just plain meanness.??

I live just down the road from a nice town that had a preacher that wanted for his family the best property in town.    His chance came when 3 young girls started out to identify the Witches in town.

We hear of men women and children burned alive at the steak, hung and drowned, but the reasons for this hysteria seldom come up.   This Family wanted the property of the so called witches and got it.

So many family's fled to Maine leaving everything behind all the years of work just left.

No one teaches this today, a shame as it is a study in public hysteria and the ways humans will go  to be encouraged to do the most  inhuman acts.

Pam already lost her teaching position.

For the past two or three years she's been like a warden at Gateway, a Wichita alternative school for kids too young for prison.

She doesn't teach, just helps keep them from killing one another, but then she never did teach much.

I'm surprised we haven't heard  from our 2010 DUmmy of the Year, Anne Pritchett, Proud2BDUmb.
