It's F-R-E-E-E!!!

Ya-a-a-a!!!!

(snip)
Now this is a complete stroke of genius which I couldn’t have cooked up for a political fiction novel.

Down in Louisville, as prisoners are being discharged from jail, they’re getting a little something extra by way of a going away present.

They’re being signed up for Obamacare.

Quote
After three months in jail on a theft charge, Vincent Garcia had prepared last week to collect his wallet and keys and turn in his orange scrubs upon release.

But the 26-year-old will leave jail with something else — free health insurance.

Louisville Metro Department of Corrections last week began holding daily sign-ups for exiting inmates, and Garcia was among those qualifying for the newly expanded Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act.

Medicaid isn't Obamacare.  It's a separate state thing.

But the states that opened local exchanges are on the hook for it.

I think there was an Obamacare ad aimed at getting criminals to sign up when they get released.  It's just another way of bankrupting the states and making them more dependent on the feds.  Some states were smart enough not to expand their medicaid programs.

My understanding is that the Feds would help the states pay for it for a couple of years, but after that they are on their own.  However in the states that didn't expand, there is a gap between where the states cut off the income level and Obamacare starts.  I don't get that.  Why didn't Obamacare just start where the states left off????

That should have been the obvious thing to do, but remember how Obama thinks.  He wanted more people on the expanded medicaid instead of paying their own way with subsidies.  Obama is all about making people dependent on the government. Look at how he has pushed for expanding food stamps and unemployment compensation.

Why you ask?  Because they knew it would be a lot of Red States that didn't sign up for this because they didn't think they could afford it after the three years the Feds promised to fund it.  So the Conservative Governors and their governments that choose to be responsible government officials are the bad guys.  So when there are people that aren't covered in these "Red State Hell's" the Dems can easily point their fingers at the Republicans/Conservatives of the state and place all the blame.

They did a piece on this very thing on 60 minutes last night.  From the teaser of the show I thought Brian Lawrence was going to Railroad the ACA, but he didn't.  The piece sorta blamed the states, for not expanding Medicaid, but did go on to say that they didn't because they thought the cost would bankrupt their states after the three years.  Also, this was done in a mining town in WV where 1000's of people have lost jobs, thanks Obama.  It wasn't mentioned or even hinted at in the story, but as I have feared it's all leading to them wanting single payer.

I saw that segment(thanks to wife and NASCAR rain delay). I haven't watched 60 lying minutes in several years. I tried to tell the wife why they were unemployed but coal and electricity didn't seem to compute.....oh well, she will mark a straight republican ticket so it doesn't matter.
