How the US has changed Over 100 Years
« on: April 06, 2014, 02:08:42 PM »
Amazing how much has changed in 100 years.

Quote
In April 1914—100 years ago—U.S. Marines and sailors landed in the Mexican port city to redress a perceived diplomatic slight. They did so at a significant price in international relations and lives in an event barely remembered in the U.S. today.

It was an unlikely battleground for the seafaring services. “Sailors and Marines found the narrow cobblestone streets littered with garbage and rotting animal carcasses,” Max Boot wrote in The Savage Wars of Peace. “Giant black vultures called zopilotes circled overhead and mongrel dogs ran wild. A powerful stench pervaded everything in this town of 40,000.”

The uniformed Americans were purportedly brought to the Caribbean coast of Mexico after the U.S. flag was not accorded proper respect by Mexican authorities in Tampico in April 1914. Congress authorized a resolution permitting the use of force to rectify this perceived offense to national pride, setting the stage for armed intervention.

Emphasis mine (I also corrected some misspelling).  Rest at the link

Today, we just look at far worse without even a second thought.  It's hard to believe how far we've fallen as a country.  What has happened to our America :censored:

This is the central theme of Allen B. West's book Guardian of the Republic. Our countrymen are not only clueless about history and the entire reason our country began, but are totally complacent about the systematic rape that not only Barry and his thugs are doing to us, but the vast bulk of Congress as well.

LTC West is a straight shooter and stand-up guy. He tells it like it is, but the love he has for our Nation is what drives him forward. He scares people because he doesn't pander to the PC crowd. He's a threat to the professional politicians because they are fully engaged in extorting as much money, power, and prestige as they can get before the system does finally collapse.

As it surely will.

Socialists, progressives, communists, what ever label you want to put on them.  They are all branches of the same tree.

Destruction of the family is the biggest reason in my book.
