poll: which monicker do the primitives seem to prefer?

Okay, the third and final of the once-quarterly, now semi-annually, polls to gauge the effectiveness of the DUmpster.

Which monicker seems to find the most favor with the primitives?

NOT the nickname that one uses oneself, but the one the primitives appear to like the most.

"DUmmies" needs no explanation, and it's by far the oldest and most popular; it seems used mostly by decent and civilized people who read the primitives for amusement and entertainment.

"DUmors" was suggested some years ago, but never gained any traction; it was suggested for use by decent and civilized people who see the primitives as some sort of great malignancy on the body social.

"Proglodytes" is reasonably new, and appears to be used more and more often, which is good, as it's a most-apt term to describe the primitives.

"Primitives" is pretty much self-explanatory, and used by decent and civilized people who examine Skins's island with an anthropological eye.

I think the one that draws the most ire is "primitives", followed closely by "democrats". 

"Proglodytes" is hilarious, but it's too big of a word for most primitive minds to comprehend, so its full effect hasn't struck them yet.

I voted for primitives.  I can vaguely remember a democrat underground thread--I think it was a thread about the pineapple headed primitive--where they were discussing being called primitives here and some of them were pushing the idea that the term had racist connotations.  And everybody knows how much they love any opportunity to play the race card.

I voted for primitives.  I can vaguely remember a democrat underground thread--I think it was a thread about the pineapple headed primitive--where they were discussing being called primitives here and some of them were pushing the idea that the term had racist connotations.  And everybody knows how much they love any opportunity to play the race card.

Yeah, but I've always been very careful to make the distinction that 98.6% or 99.2% or whatever it is, the percentage of primitives of European derivation on Skins's island, of the primitives are not of certain, uh, politically-correct ethnic or racial derivations.

They're overwhelmingly white.

The only thing they share in common with the sorts of primitives Margaret Mead studied in the South Seas, is that they mutilate and decorate their bodies, wear skimpy clothing if clothing at all, adorn themelves with all sorts of grotesque jewelry, and have suspicious, mean, menacing expressions on their faces.

But other than that, they're about as white as the Big Zero's mother.

But if they don't like those names, it's their own damned fault, being s-o-o-o-o-o-o unimaginative in making up their screen-names.  I think our names are more reflective of a particular primitive's character and personality.
