Yes, but how? How do you plan on getting your voice heard over the special interests? This has been going on for years and not just with the gay agenda. We're also called racists, we're accused of having a war on women and that we hate poor people.
Conservatives do a terrible job against the commies and I'm mostly disappointed in our clergy for allowing the left to marginalize Christianity.
I think this is exactly why they use their tactics the way they do. They want us to be so worn down we no longer have the will to fight. The Tea Party seriously scared them, including establishment RINOs. Look at how they reacted. And it worked. We backed off. They never would have because the squeaky wheel does get the grease. We don't have to turn into whiny, pissy little babies. Angry adults would be more effective.
We have to decide from the beginning to not chose a RINO. Primaries are where WE have the power. The last presidential primary there was so much infighting Romney won by default. We all have our priorities to the point where we aren't willing to look at the whole candidate. The result is a candidate who shares almost none of our political values and goals. And we throw our own under the bus. Always.
Look at what happened to Herman Cain & Rick Perry. Either would've been a better president than the boy king. Perry was "stupid". And we were distracted by a rock, or something. Cain, despite decades of executive experience, was unqualified. Then there was the whole allowing the liberal media to turn him into some Mandingo stereotype. Even if he didn't pass the litmus test of every single conservative primary voter, can't we EVER stand up for a decent, good man? Every accuser had huge holes in her story but could we circle the wagons? Both his wife and Dr. Aveda King were going to stand at his side. That's quite an endorsement.
Heck, one of the best political arguments for Cain, they couldn't play the race card. Imagine if WE finally played their game? They revealed their own sick racist nature. Even after Cain stepped down we should've kept pounding. This is a war. If there were real bullets flying at us, we'd adjust our tactics to whatever level we needed to win. And it has to be us because our so-called leaders have become too paranoid to fight. I'm not even sure they want the responsibility of being the majority party.
And this is the one area where the party's establishment shows excellent political acumen. They know us. They know we'll ignore the RINO in the room because we're too busy fighting amongst ourselves because no one candidate EVER can be all things to all people. They are POLITICIANS. We won't lose influence when they get into office unless we let them. The democrat base always hold their leaders' feet to the fire when they stray from the agenda. So, the last man standing, who by this time has exhausted most of his resources then has to fight against the endless pockets of the establishment. Is there anyone who doubts the RINOs spend their time digging up and using dirt on the other candidates. Rush always says the left will show us who they fear. Well so does our establishment. All the people we've allowed the elites (no matter the party) to destroy! Yes I said WE ALLOWED because we know the tactics to employ to save their reputations, we see it every single day on the other side. For crap sakes, we even start to buy into it. Sarah Palin is a stupid hick! Herman Cain has no POLITICAL experience (as if there's no politics in corporations) and can't keep it in his pants, etc. Both would've been better than 0bama or the RINO whose turn it was. The latter would've sold us down the river sooner rather than later. Palin & Cain are experts at choosing people who are experts in vital areas.
If we're not careful we'll do it again this time. Paul and Cruz have a decent shot. Paul is libertarian enough to attract some groups we need to make inroads with. He's a Christian and pro life but thinks we should cool it on some social issues. Instead of seeing for smart political strategy, people come unglued when you try to talk about it. The majority of the country is pro life & pro DOMA. Despite this, the left has gotten very good at exploiting social issues and convincing the masses that we're haters. So wouldn't a good strategy be to not give them a chance. A simple "we have too many other issues affecting hurting Americans to get into things that won't help them..."
It's why I hope Scott Walker runs. He's already been put through the left's political machine. We need someone like that so we won't be "forced" to circle the wagons and defend our own.
