I read that list of Pitt's, and frankly, he's about as ****ed in the head regarding history as he is in predicting Cheney and Rumsfeld's imminent arrests.

I'd love to discuss each one, but it takes time and effort to counter that level of teh dum, and I just don't give a shit.  Suffice to say that in brief, Carter basically hung the Shah out to dry (read up on Black Sunday), the French and Russians armed and supported Hussein, not the US, the mujahedeen had ****-all to do with the rise of the Taliban (right, ISI?), and which missiles were used on the Marine Barracks in Beirut again?

When I think of Nebraska, I think of driving to Nebraska with some of the docents from the STL Zoo to attend a Zoo conference in Omaha. 5 of us were in an older lady's big old car, a real relic (the car and the lady).  :-)

We counted hawks sitting on top of fences in Nebraska. Then I almost got at trouble at the conference, because some tree huggers were making fun of the Republicans. It was a long time ago, when Bubba was running for his 2nd term. I started to stand and protest the remark, as I thought it was wrong to bring politics into a meeting. A friend quietly grabbed the back of my collar and kept me from standing. I love animals, but some of the fellow volunteers are way out there. It's sometimes tough to be a conservative surrounded by libtards.
