Should Hillary Clinton decide not to run we have many alternatives that are better than anything that crawls out of the Teapublican slag pile.
Although I personalty feel that Joe Biden should be appointed VP for life (or until he gets tired of the job), Smoken Joe would be more than up to the job.
Forget that at the moment I might favor Alan Grayson, surly he would also be a good choice.
By no means forget Elisabeth Warren. That would be something.

I would bet others would also have good suggestions.

By no means take this to mean that I have any problem with Hillary Clinton.
I merely point out that us folk of the Democratic persuasion have other resources we can draw on.

Most of what he writes reeks of Republican-tilted BS with just enough contrived "wittiness" to make the reader thinks he's keeping an open mind and trying to be an objective observer. He is not objective. Objectionable is more like it.

Mark Halperin doesn't write "terrific pieces" unless you lean way to the right. No better giveaway than that.

He probably won't run, but Scott Walker would be an excellent candidate for us. They've already dug up all the dirt (such as it is) that they could find and he's got an excellent track record for turning his state around. Susanna Martinez would be a great VP pick but we do have a deep non-RINO bench.

I don't know if she'll run, either. The Clintons are very good at reading the tea leaves. 0bama has pretty much ruined the dems presidential chances in the next election. Those two have a big enough ego, I doubt they'd want to lose again. Her "what difference does it make" is an ad ripe for the picking. I don't even know if she'd make it out of the primaries. The left doesn't seem to like her much. The 2008 nomination was supposed to be hers for the taking but as soon as they had anyone else, they left her in the dust. I'm still amazed by that because the Clintons have dirt on everyone. They were the ones who started the whole birth certificate thing. The Clinton's dirty laundry has been aired for years so that would hardly be an issue for her. Besides, she'd run on Bill's coattails.

Hillary is not Obama.  She had her chance for the WH in 2008, IMO.  She probably won't get the nomination, even if she does run.  Simply put, nobody knew jack shit about Obama in 2007-08.  Contrast that with Hillary, who had at that point been in the public eye for 16-17 years, and most of middle America can't stand her.  While she did get more votes than Obama, even the superdelegates flocked to Obama.  Nothing she has done in the years since has really endeared her to the American public.
