JeanGrey (1000+ posts) Wed Jul-02-08 09:58 AMResponse to Reply #15. Oh, it's not a waste of money - Limbaugh brings HUGE revenues. That is why they are paying him the big bucks.

Grossly overpaid draft-dodging republicon chickenhawk propagandist Edited on Wed Jul-02-08 09:56 AM by SpiralHawkPtooey...Limbaugh's experience is a beacon to young republicon chickenhawks everywhere -- proving to them that if you use an Ass Pimple to dodge the draft, as Limbaugh did, talk loudly, and hold your hand out, republicon fat cats will drop Mega CashMoneyBucks into your paw to get you to spout messages of hate and division in support of phony, so-called 'conservative' ideas that are essentially radical and opposed to everything good, noble, and American.Ptoooey.

All he does is sit behind the microphone, doing his show in American Sign Language! That would be a wonderful silence. And since I don't understand ASL, even with my eyes open, his show would become tolerable.

nxylas (1000+ posts) Wed Jul-02-08 10:06 AMResponse to Original message8. What's the median age of his listeners? Are they all ancient, like O'Reilly's viewers. If so, he's likely to lose a lot of them through, ahem, natural wasteage by 2016, and I don't see the Obama generation lining up to replace them. I think whoever offered Limpballs that contract is going to have buyer's remorse by the end of it.
pattmarty (1000+ posts) Wed Jul-02-08 10:08 AMResponse to Original message9. "What a country"
I don't even listen to Rush Limbaugh but anything he can do to aggravate the left wing lunatics is fine by me.
IMO Rush can be a pompous ass...but damn..anybody that winds up the libtards as well as he can is great by me.
I would like an example which does not include his wicked sense of humor.
There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site
The "Obama generation"?!!! Once the "Obama generation" starts thinking for themselves, you damn well better bet that Rush's listening audience will increase.
Quote from: Lord Undies on July 02, 2008, 01:01:11 PMI would like an example which does not include his wicked sense of humor. That's what many people, and some listeners do not understand. He does a lot of that on purpose and it's meant to be dark humor. Like when he chastises Snerdley. It's all a joke. Liberals have essentially painted him as a pompous ass because, well, no other reason than he's a conservative, and he plays off of it. It's a Rush thing, some of you wouldn't understand.

I am a 20 year Rush listener and I do not understand it. I'd like to know how and when Rush Limbaugh is a pompous ass. I would like an example which does not include his wicked sense of humor.
Don't misunderstand me...I like Rush....I guess sometimes [I think] his methods leave something to be desired. YMMV. just a perception thing
Rush is why I became a dyed-in-the-wool conservative twenty years ago. Rush does indeed rock to quote frank.
