The Military sent its young Doctors to train there to learn how to handle war injuries, stabbings and shooting ETC. Many of the young Doctors both military and civilian in training needing extra money would donate sperm to a clinic oddly placed across the road from a planned parenthood abortion clinic.
From what I understand a woman wanting a child would go to the clinic, be given a Big book full of pictures and information on education and back ground of the sperm donor of her choice. No names just medical history.
So the old Fart that ran the clinic went on a months vacation leaving his staff to handle his business. Big mistake.
Once he returned home within less then a year a big outcry went up, his patients were giving birth to children outside their race. Enough of his patients were military dependents giving birth at military hospitals and a red flag went up at the hospital in Portsmouth VA. It took awhile to get the authority's involved but when it did all Hell broke out.
It took a couple years of court warrants to get the records of his patients all that privacy stuff, and 3-4 high priced lawyers.
Some how the law tracked down over 50 family's in the area got DNA from the kids and the Doctor and found it was the Doctor who had fathered the children. It was his sperm and not the sperm of the chosen donor. The mix up in race came about from a former employee he had left in charge while on vacation.
What a mess, this Doctor had been in business for 25 years, some of his biological kids went to school together, a couple were dating a half brother or sister.
I never found out how this turned out, I left the area shortly after, but I wonder if rape charges were placed on him, child support.
I have no idea what happened to the children born biracial or if the doctor who lost his license to practice in VA. is not working in another State.
