Manny's just being Manny; he's quite the jocular sort, so don't take him seriously.
<<<knows Manny.

Ah! An email from my good friend Barack.
Just got an email from the President, asking for my help.
Here it is, in a nutshell:
Manny --
Republicans are mean, they want to stop us. I'll try to do stuff, "wherever I can".
Please vote for Democrats and send $10.
Thanks,
Barack Obama
This, dear reader, is why non-DU Democrats don't turn out in droves: "wherever I can" is a pout, not a battle cry.
"We suck less" won't cut it either.
Hey Obama! Hey Congressional Democrats! Pull yourself off of Wall Street's teat, stand up straight and start swinging: that's what'll get Democrats out! Show us you're on our side, and Democrats, hell all Americans, will show you that they're on yours.
Regards,
First-Way Manny
---------------------------
Manny -- [franksolich: apparently the real text of the e-mail]
The top Republican in the House said Americans should judge them not on how many laws they pass, but on how many they repeal.
The top Republican in the Senate said his top priority wasn't to create jobs or expand opportunity, but to beat me.
I want to work with Congress wherever I can to do the job the American people sent us here to do -- but it turns out Republicans and Democrats have some very different ideas about what that means.
Let me level with you: The only way we're going to achieve our goals is by electing more Democrats in 2014.
Chip in $10 or more to help elect Democrats to a Congress we can all be proud of:

Thanks,
Barack Obama

1. Would you rather he threatened to put Wall Street crooks and Bush era war criminals in jail and then didn't do it?
If he ain't gonna deliver I'm just as happy that he doesn't promise.
^^^a primitive similar to Skippy, but not as bright, and older. A real humbug.

4. "plenty of blood and teeth on the floor"
I'd rather they give it their all, the last full measure of his devotion, and leave "plenty of blood and teeth on the floor".
Jamie and Llloyd as White House regulars while Krugman's persona non grata ain't "blood and teeth on the floor". Perhaps yours and mine, but not Obama's.
The ProSense primitive interjects some statistical nonsense, basically meaningless, and hence not worth bringing over.

3. Good friend?
LOL.
You said you'd rather overturn the election of Obama than the election of Reagan.

6. "Please vote for Democrats and send $10."
You get the government you pay for. $10
Uh, no we don't get the government we pay for.
Desk-sitting governmental bureaucrats cost 40% more than those in similar jobs in private enterprise, and do only one-third the work the latter does.
It was on Drudge the other day.

7. Are you sure that was written by him?
It sounds like it was written by a third grader... REPUBLICANS ARE MEAN? ....really? ... no really?
They are not mean...
They are:
ungenerous, uncharitable, harsh, unkind, cruel, uncaring, spiteful, nasty, heartless, and malicious!
Yuk yuk yuk Hirohito.
